Symposium on Regenerative Medicine in Osaka Japan and online

On Friday the 19th of May 2023, from 09.30 – 11.30, The Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Osaka organizes the second day of the symposium on Regenerative Medicine in the Netherlands and Japan. With over 300 attendees, the first day of this hybrid event was a resounding success and a true showcase of the vibrant scientific community in both countries.

Mimics Innovation Awards Winner: Nasim Golafshan

This year's Innovation Award Winner was granted to Nasim Golafshan. Golafshan won the award with her research on 3D-printing of regenerative magnesium phosphate to ensure stability and restoration of hip-dysplasia. The mimic innovation award is a moment to reward those who commit hard work and dedication on who dedicate their lives to creating a better and healthier world.

RegMedXB Pilotfabriek opened its doors for the National Growth Fund committee

On Wednesday 21 December, a delegation of the National Growth Fund committee and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy came to visit the RegMed XB Pilot factory. It was a wonderful moment to show the efforts have been realised under the cabinet's investment.

Regmed XB and DCVA valorisation community event: Scaling and Manufactoring

RegMed XB and DCVA invited scientists and other interested parties came together at their valorisation community event 'Scaling and Manufacturing'. The event took place at the NexstGen facilitiy in Leiden, which is part of the RegMed XB pilot factory.

Last summer, Yang Li, a scientist from the ICAT team, contributed to a chapter in 3D Printing in Medicine Second Edition. The book examines the rapidly growing market of 3D-printed biomaterials and their clinical applications.

International Conference on Biofabrication 2022

This September, our ICAT team attended the annual International Conference on Biofabrication that took place in Tuscany. The conference, led by the International Society for Biofabrication, aims to bring together leading academic scientists and researchers to exchange and share their know-how and results on all aspects of Biofabrication.

RegMed XB awarded 56 million euros from National Growth Fund

Today, the Dutch cabinet decided to fully fund the National Growth Fund application of RegMed XB. A maximum of 56 million euros will be available for setting up a pilot plant for regenerative medicine.
