ICAT is an innovation space that assists the development of new health care solutions and tests regenerative treatments at a larger scale. It provides the opportunity to simulate, refine, and standardize manufacturing processes for advanced therapeutics.
ICAT builds bridges between research and clinical practice, by uniting all relevant expertise and infrastructure for the development and optimization of patient-specific advanced therapies.
ICAT supports clinicians, academic institutions and small, medium, and large commercial organizations worldwide.

Utrecht Science Park (USP), situated in the heart of the Netherlands, hosts outstanding knowledge institutes and innovative start-ups. The presence of UMC Utrecht and the Prinses Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology facilitates clinical testing and implementation. Researchers at USP are dedicated to advancing cutting-edge technologies and therapies.
ICAT has recently joined the new satellite location, Utrecht Science Park Zeist, where we focus on innovative and translational research to ensure a seamless transition from bench to bedside and beyond. In this dynamic ecosystem, our goal is to develop regenerative treatments for patients and create a hub for like-minded start-ups.

The RegMed XB Pilot Factory is one of the largest international infrastructures for regenerative medicine. It brings together all the expertise and infrastructure needed to bring regenerative medicine to the market. Our mission is to accelerate the development of new solutions for chronic diseases and to bring affordable regenerative medicine therapies to patients.
The Pilot Factory consists of an ecosystem of specialized pilot lines that support universities, research institutes, start-ups and industry with developing, testing, upscaling and producing their new regenerative medicine therapies.
